But seriously, I’m just a big fan. Has he been following the advent of AI in medicine, and what are some hopes and fears as it looms ahead, on a seemingly inevitable collision course with humanism in medicine.
Not that the practice of medicine hasn’t already been thoroughly dehumanized by the healthcare system.
Ask him to comment on the astronomical cost of medical education and the effects on future physicians.
Since Being Mortal came out, have doctor/ patient conversations become more honest and realistic not just with end of life care but in general?
