In your CNN segment, I was surprised that you didn't address the danger of drinking raw milk more directly - it seemed that the host set that one up for you, but you talked more generally about avoiding things that might be problematic. Given Kennedy's advocacy for raw milk, I'd like to see lots of direct contradiction of his position with specifics, which you certainly can supply.
While I agree some specific stats on raw milk and pasteurization might be helpful and relate it to Kennedy's lack of knowledge directly is important, Dr. Faust did clearly state that this is "settled" science. And that consumers would be wise, right now especially as we are still learning more about bird flu to use precaution with any milk that's unpasteurized. And we are living in an age of lazy thinkers who want their info on CNN fast and simple. We have increasingly more generations who have NO MEMORY of a time of childhood illnesses or how much our public health practices in this country changed the health of the world for the better.
What’s the latest with the H5N1 vaccine development (my kids age 15-26) are asking? I think 🤔 we read that Finland has this vaccine (is this true)? Wondering how other countries are preparing etc.. Thanks
I’m really sorry my comment posted twice here’s some holiday humor ~ my dog jumped on the phone and pressed a button I’m not sure how to delete the second cat comment lol 😂 I guess my dog wanted to have her say (we really appreciate this newsletter happy holidays, also that climate change info is very interesting regarding weather extremes and it’s impacts …. I am wondering how much mold illness will increase with the increased rain in parts of country or world. My daughter has read that poison ivy is increasing and that it’s really impacting local ecology etc. and people when doing landscaping or gardening… it’s the noticeable and also subtle impacts …. Imagine more children playing in yards getting into increased poison ivy ( climate change ) ugh
Wanted to add that we read in news that 2 wild cougars died of H5N1 in Washington state….increased susceptibility to some species? Wondering what all this means… for people and animals
