Thank you, Dr. Faust, for your tireless work and for keeping us informed on these critical issues. The reality of what this administration is doing is sickening. The systematic dismantling of disability research, public health infrastructure, and foreign aid—combined with efforts to undermine vaccine credibility—makes it clear that ideology and cruelty are driving policy decisions, not evidence or the public good. The warnings about Trump’s existential threat were not alarmist; they were prescient. Shame on those who had the capacity to see this coming and still chose to enable it for personal or political gain.

We cannot afford to be complacent as this administration continues to erode scientific integrity, public health, and global cooperation. Thank you for keeping us informed and equipping us with the knowledge to push back. Your work is essential, and deeply appreciated.

Another great informative article. Disabled people make Trump (and honestly a lot of people) uncomfortable as it is an in-your-face reminder that it could happen to you. He believes we are a drain on society & wants us to go away by any means necessary. Return to in office work & discontinuing telehealth are additional attacks on the disabled taking away income & vital health resources we need to survive.

As a person who is disabled (for 40 years) and uses a wheelchair...as someone who advocates for the rights of those who are disabled working with MA state legislators on bills as well as Chairing my city of Holyoke's Commission on Disabilities and working with MOD (MA Office on Disability)...got to say very disappointed to see this being the first real reference by Inside Medicine as to impact of Trump/Musk on people who are disabled is a pretty distant relationship to us. Adding especially distant in the face of real impact on disabled people's lives, livelihood, health, etc. like Social Security services, jobs, and offices being diminished. Like massive layoffs at the VA who employs largest amount of disabled people of any gov dept. Or cuts to Medicaid that not only help us with medical services, but Medicaid funds huge amounts of money to accessible transportation so people who are disabled (and often cannot afford mobility vans) like myself, can get to medical services. And this just the beginning of the impact of the current administration's coup. Before that we were already not being acknowledged. Case in point : COVID Data. In our state of MA in June of 2020 a MA law was passed requiring our health departments to collect data of COVID on marginalized groups like for race and disability. They NEVER did for those who are disabled. Even though they knew we we were dying of COVID disproportionately to the rest of the population. Currently, the destruction of the Dept of Ed will be devastating to children who are disabled especially in impoverished neighborhoods and Black, Latinix, Indigenous disabled children. We ARE the largest marginalized group (and the most diverse) in the country (CDC) and in the world (WHO). You've asked what subjects Inside Medicine could address...this is the one I'd suggest. And I'd be glad to help! I'm also working all weekends and nights, volunteer with no paid staff to advocate for those in worse circumstances than myself. https://commonwealthbeacon.org/health-care/disability-community-is-invisible-demographic-in-pandemic/

"I think they mean persecution, but these guys are so darned efficient, they can't be bothered to have a copyeditor check their work—upon which millions of lives literally depend".

I am often amazed with the evolving intelligence of our young people...recent example a 2 y/o commented to his grama who was looking for an answer to something..."Grama google it"

OMG I was gobsmacked

Dr. Faust to borrow your son's comment, "cuckoo banana's" possibly he ok yourself could apply for him to be a copy editor for the ding-bats generating junk questionnaires.

Bravo Jeremy for your work. offering information about the ongoing insanity not available elsewhere.

Suggestion: looking into the COVID revisionism promoted in the Boston Globe and elsewhere, e.g. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/10/metro/new-scientific-research-suggests-covid-lockdowns-did-more-harm-than-good/?p1=Article_Feed_ContentQuery. and https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/09/opinion/covid-five-year-anniversary-2020-mistakes/

Does this relate to pushing the Bhattacharya confirmation?
