I am incensed by this blatant assault on science. Cutting off NIH funding mid-stream for ideological reasons isn’t just anti-science—it’s authoritarian. Research on LGBTQ+ aging has broad public health relevance, yet it’s being erased under the guise of “agency priorities.” This is Orwellian censorship and a chilling warning to all researchers: fall in line or be silenced. Once the government dictates what science is allowed, science ceases to exist.

This cannot stand. The scientific community—and anyone who values truth—must push back before more fields of research are erased.

Thank you Jeremy for your tremendous work keeping your readers updated, at great cost to your time and your other work, on the destruction wreaked on Americans' health by Musk/Trump.

We have to stand up and push back. Publicly, visibly. Where is 2025 recap of the 2017 March for Science?

My goodness if this was the 80s & 90s with HIV, NIAID/Dr Fauci would have gotten no backing for their work! Oh, my I can't imagine where we would be. Reagan didn't mention AIDS until Rock Hudson's death which irritated Dr Fauci, but he didn't interfere with NIAID in the AIDS research. I wonder how much longer Dr Jeanne M will stay in charge at NIAID. I just hope PEPFAR can come out of this to continue operations.

Sadly, the shameless 'bully' demonstrated once again he will behave as he chooses, his most aggregious e.g. publically humiliating the visiting president of Ukraine 😥 This display of perceived lack of "appreciation" by the Ukrainian President & by extension the Ukrainian people he represents was factually shown not to be true as reported by CNN's fact checking.

Trump's side-kick Vance deliberately omitted the factually appreciation of gratitude the Ukrainian President did state when he visited an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania in the fall of 2024.

What does my 'rant' have to do with the material presented in this posting...Trump and his band of bad actors will continue to act as they choose until there is adequate 'push-back' from the majority of Americans who truly care about their fellow Americans & equaliy for our global citizens. The latter is what makes America a citizenry to be proud of & not the shameful acts of a selfish president who's only concern is his perceived role in peace & prosperity. Trump fails to comprehend, it's an oxymoron to pursue a goal of make America great again, the challenge now becomes reversing the "stain" he has inflicted upon the true character of the American people. 🙏JJF 🇨🇦

This is so important and thank you for standing up and out on this homophobic, narrow-minded assault on human beings and their healthcare and research. We have a dear friend who is a trans woman who my husband has worked with for years in environmental research and studies and programs for years. She has an earned national respect in her field. She has been the Dean of Forestry at a major university in the west. And though retired she is still very, very active in academia. A better, kinder friend could not be found. She is also about as courageous a person as I have ever met. Since Trump came in office again, she is considering going to Canada and reversing her surgery so she can still stay married to her much loved long term wife. I can barely see the keys as I cry while writing this. It is abhorrent. Thank you so much, Jeremy.

That RFK statement is remarkable. It was clearly written not by RFK himself but by someone who knows what they're talking about and is trying desperately to speak as much of the truth as they can to inform the public, without being perceived to contradict or disrespect any of RFK's quackery. A very "blink twice if you're in distress" situation.
