While I think Kamala Harris may share basically the same views on health care as President Biden, I think she is and will be more forceful and strong in projecting those positions (which I support too)

Harris is far stronger on abortion than Biden is. Her presidency will hopefully be better for women on the whole.

President Biden’s advisors realize that the current CDC guidelines are ludicrously minimalistic. Isolating until the rapid antigen test becomes negative makes far more scientific sense than using “I feel OK.” So yes, he handled the situation correctly.

What struck me about Fauci's book, as well as watching him for his entire career (we were at Bellevue the same time, though we never met) was how seriously apolitical and objective he was. He did an amazing job of describing what was happening in the political arena without even hinting at what his judgments were. He had good relationships with presidents, regardless of party. Until Trump. Although I have to say from his objective description about being unable to get Zika funding from Congress, I was reminded how the Republican party made it their primary goal to oppose anything Obama a.k.a. Black. But that was me. He never said it.

Then we got to Trump. Fauci's life and the lives of his wife and daughters were endangered specifically because of politics. His reputation and entire career were viciously attacked. I don't even know how he remained calm enough to share those experiences without a far more outrage then he calmly expressed.

So no, he will never say how he will vote. That is no one's business. At the same time, I do think it's very clear. If anything, I respect him even more than I did before I read his book.

I'm not sure, AND it doesn't matter to me at this time. I know that she's on the right track, and I'm comfortable waiting to learn more as the situation develops. I did schedule a "do it now or do it later" hip replacement for the end of September, in the back of my mind thinking of the worst case scenario and cuts to or elimination of Medicare should tRump win.
