Thank you, Dr. Faust, for sounding the alarm. Firing the entire ACIP is not reform. It is a hostile takeover of public health. RFK Jr.’s actions are reckless and dangerous. And Senator Cassidy, who once seemed genuinely concerned during the confirmation hearing, now appears complicit through his silence. This is a direct assault on scientific integrity, and it cannot be normalized.

Thank you for reminding Senator Cassidy of the consequences of his action & urging him to aggressively act to “ fix” this problem. The lack of a functioning Congress, the most important branch of government, IS the ultimate source of the problem. That said, the damage is done. So the real question is what do we do now to protect the public? Personally, I think we need to form an interim private healthcare advisory body of vetted experts to provide credible guidance to the public until some sanity is restored. I think we cannot expect this to be corrected in a timeframe that can avert significant danger to public health ( we are likely looking at years). Don’t we have a duty here whether it is supported by government or not? This is very dangerous. We need to focus on solutions —— both long term definitive solutions & interim steps outside of government control.

Thank you for sharing this in such a factual manner. Too many outside healthcare don’t understand what is happening.

Thank you Dr Faust… hopefully our Senators can rally resources to rectify the damage done.

Dear Senator Cassidy,, Murkowski & Sullivan,

As a retired healthcare provider who worked in various Medical settings

- RN, mgh CCU MIRU (Myocardial Infarction Research Unit) Stanford ED)

- FNP/PA who worked in Family Practice, ED, Hospitalist & Remote Practice (in Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts)

- Retired 73 y/o who has depended on expertise and science to help friends & family live vibrant lives despite health challenges

I am furious that RFK JR an unqualified person that has profited from disinformation is now continuing disinformation, defunding, dismantling and destroying national & international trust in our Healthcare Science & Systems.

Can you work to correct this situation. I’ll send this to my Senators Murkowski & Sullivan too. We hoped that RFK JR promise to you would be honored.. clearly not.

Thank you for keeping us in the loop. Scathing email to Bill Cassidy sent. Everyone should overwhelm his senate email and voicemail. It would be a stretch to think that something like this wouldn’t happen.

Thank you Dr. Faust, both for standing up and calling out Cassidy and keeping all of us up to date on these latest events. Along with the events currently taking place in LA, the country is really in free fall. I hope so many people turn out this Saturday for the protests that streets are literally shut down. This whole regime has got to be stopped.

I did not attend the "No Kings" protest. Not safe by any means. I did watch endless video's nationwide. There was a 21 year old female who was struck by a SUV who sped into a crowd during the protest in the downtown city where I live. She was critically injured. So sad.

When crowds of people get together, there is always some danger, but the danger we're in if we don't stand up and stop this madness is far greater. When you consider how many millions of people actually did protest, it was actually remarkably peaceful. Don't get me wrong, we were nervous for sure. But we're much more nervous about what Trump's regime will continue to do if not stopped, and it's up to the people to stop him.

I agree. However, once you’ve been VIP to a shooting, your choices tend to change. I was in a school shooting in 2017. I live in Southern California, about an hour from Los Angeles. Doesn’t get any more dangerous than LA. In LA, the corrupt are just waiting for a protest to get violent so they can act. All year round, I make phone calls and write letters hoping to help make change. Have always done this even before I was an RN. But even more so since becoming a nurse in 1999.

Well you're doing your part then for sure. If everybody just does something, calling, wearing t-shirts with NO KINGS on them, even talking to people about how serious things are, it helps. I broke both my feet February 13th and wasn't able to go to any protests until this one. BTW...I have family in San Diego and it's like a second home to me. Been there at least 6-7 times in my life and hope to go again at some point. We actually almost moved there but ended up in Asheville, NC instead.

There is literally NO reason to expect that filling those 17 vacant positions on the CDC expert vaccine panel will follow the painstaking process normally followed to fill vacancies.

Senator Cassidy convinced himself that the viper was not going to bite the CDC in the ass. And here we are. ☠️

Thank you for speaking up (and for helping to educate those of us who care deeply but need more knowledge). These reckless firings of ACIP staff (a formerly hard-won position of responsibility ) with what are sure to be equally reckless replacements can only lead to disastrous consequences for individuals of all ages/all health and potential health conditions.

Thank Dr. Faust for continuing your hard work and dedication to keeping us healthy. I also appreciate you giving us the information to contact the Senator. I feel like I am drinking out of a fire hose these says.
