We used to do the double defibrillation and I had a few successes. We were told the evidence did not support continuing to do this, but I didn’t think the evidence was that strong and that there might be a subgroup of patients who might benefit from this. I’ve seen it work. Or at least I think so. Always impossible to rely on anecdotal evidence. Which is why I’m glad we have this new randomized trial data!
At my main gig, a nurse does the ACLS and said we can’t do this, not that I have to abide by that, but it would be nice to have that paper. Where is the link or where should I look for the study? If EMS will stick around, I like to have them keep their pads on and we put pads in the other spots so I don’t have people scrambling for 2 life packs.
