I’m scheduled to record a video interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday. This is my second time interviewing Dr. Fauci for MedPage Today, and we’ll publish the interview in segments over the next week. I want your input!
We’ll be covering his new memoir, “On Call. A Doctor’s Journey In Public Service,” already a New York Times bestseller. I’ve now read the book (and parts of it twice) and it is as fascinating as anticipated. At 480 pages, it looks long, but it moves quickly because Dr. Fauci has been “in the room where it happens” for many of the most important problems that humanity has faced since the 1960s. Crises that normally fill entire books—HIV/AIDS, Anthrax, Ebola, and Covid-19—here take up mere chapters.
Now retired as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, this is Dr. Fauci’s first media tour as a private citizen. While he’s always been a straight shooter, I’m hoping to get even more candor from him than ever.
Below is a sneak preview of 10 of the questions I’m considering asking Dr. Fauci, based on my notes from the book.
Please submit your questions for Dr. Fauci in the Comments Section below, and I’ll try to get to as many of them as possible! Thanks!
