The Pitt Season Finale After Show: ER doctors and cast react.

“The Pitt actually made me qualify for SAG health insurance," one cast member revealed to Inside Medicine.

Alright, that was really fun. To celebrate the finale of season two of The Pitt on HBO Max, Inside Medicine hosted an impromptu after party featuring real ER doctors and some of the show’s talented cast members.

We had stars of emergency medicine:

  • Dr. Dara Kass.

  • Dr. Esther Choo.

  • Dr. Kimi Chernoby.

  • Dr. Kristen Panthagani.

And we also had five members of The Pitt cast join us!

  • Ambar Martinez, also a real-life nurse who plays Nurse Kim Tate.

  • Melette Le Blanc-Cabot, a real-life physician assistant who plays Nurse Sophie Auget.

  • Jenna Moloney, who plays the iconic sunburnt girl!

  • Keenan Henson, who plays Oliver, a patient who missed dialysis.

  • Iker Garcia, who plays Mason, his son, who drove him into the hospital.

There were lots of amazing moments during our little after show. But one really stood out for me. I asked the actors how they get their health insurance paid for….

What a testament to our fractured healthcare system, right there.

I hope you enjoy the entire party. We truly had a lot of fun, and I loved the doctor-actor vibes. We’ll definitely do more of these next season! In the meantime, you can also check out some more analysis I did of key scenes over on MedPage Today.

Special thanks to: Dr. Joe Sachs, executive producer of The Pitt who sent Melette to join us at the last minute, Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max for furnishing the clips we showed, and MedPage Today for facilitating all of this!
