Preview: Putting medicine and public health together. With Dr. Anne Zink and Dr. Jeremy Faust.
Join us today, July 15, at 1 p.m. ET on Substack Live.
Last week, I had a couple of questions on public health and medicine that needed deep expertise—the kinds of questions that very few people can answer with authority. So, I called Dr. Anne Zink, a trusted colleague I’ve gotten to know over time. My conversation made me realize something: You all need to know her, if you don’t already. Fortunately, she’ll be joining me later today in The Doctor’s Lounge (Tuesday, July 15, 1 p.m., ET) so that we can make that happen.
How can we help patients by using better data, technology, and expertise? How can we improve Medicaid? These are top-of-mind for Dr. Zink. We’ll also answer your questions. Please submit them in the Comments section.
About our guest: Dr. Anne Zink was the Chief Medical Officer for the State of Alaska from 2018-2024 and was one of the clearest communicators during the Covid-19 emergency. She is now a Senior Fellow at the Yale School of Public Health, working on data streams for both the public and researchers. She’s also a practicing emergency physician. In my view, there are very few people who understand the frontlines of medicine and what’s under the hood on public health as well as Dr. Zink. Here’s a longer bio.
