Preventing the next Uvalde. A Live Q&A with CNN’s S.E. Cupp and Brown University’s Dr. Megan Ranney.
Thursday, May 26th, 11 AM Eastern on the Inside Medicine Facebook group.

Dear Inside Medicine readers,
Tomorrow, Thursday, May 26th at 11 AM Eastern time I’ll host a Facebook Live Q&A with CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp and Dr. Megan Ranney, gun safety researcher, advocate, physician, and vice dean of the Brown School of Public Health. This event will be for Premium subscribers. Because this conversation is so important, I’ll also release key points from the event to everyone for free. However, many will want to join the conversation live (or stream it later), ask a question, leave comments, or share ideas.

This promises to be a productive and substantive session.
I asked S.E. and Megan in particular to join me because they are two important voices in the conversation around gun safety.
What I want to know is simple: How can we finally make progress?
S.E. and Megan actually have some of those answers. They each have ample experience and wisdom on this, and neither is an extremist. In fact, they are among the most moderate and informed voices of reason you’ll find.

Until the day that medicine can magically reverse the effects of gun violence, shootings like the massacre in Uvalde, Texas will continue to be a public health issue.
Doctors and political experts need to collaborate.
That's what this is all about.
Again, to join us live, click here to become a Premium subscriber to Inside Medicine if you are not already a member so that you have access to the members-only Inside Medicine Facebook group.
And please stay safe, everyone!
