On Wednesday, I flew back from Washington D.C. after a day of meetings with some colleagues. I tried to get an earlier flight but decided to avoid the $75 change fee and just sit in the airport and write on my laptop while waiting for my actual flight. As you can see, it was a fortuitous choice! Naturally, I took advantage of the opportunity. I took out my AirPods, removed my trusty N95 mask that I wear on planes and in other crowded settings, and introduced myself.
