I finally got Covid. Here's what I'm doing.
After treating hundreds or thousands of Covid patients in the ER, my number came up.
Covid-19 has been in the US for well over four years. I have treated hundreds if not thousands of infected patients in the ER. I’ve probably taken hundreds of tests (rapid antigen tests and PCRs) in order to keep my patients, my family, and my chorus safe. My tests have always been negative. Until this evening.
For the first time, I have tested positive on a Covid-19 rapid antigen test. Unlike expensive PCR tests, my test was available to me within moments of my first symptoms and gave me a result a minute or two after that.
I’ve been giving people Covid-19 advice for four years now. Now it’s time to walk the walk. So, starting now, I am going to tell you what’s going on with me and exactly what I’m going to do about it.
