You forgot the Department of Defense...not war...the deplorable individual he allowed to be put in place is reprehensible. This person is grossly unqualified, he mocked the killing of granted legitimate combatants last spring & now glorifies the killing of presumed smugglers in the open ocean... beyond sad.
The occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is also the proximal cause of the death of a National Guard member due to his publicity stunt & he also referred to the presumed perpetrator as an "animal"... the tragic death of a young Guard member was apparently that of a mentally unwell individual.

And my brother-in-law now an Admiral in the Navy who used to fly Navy jets changed to a registered Democrat (about time) and never voted for Trump. He is appalled at the danger Trump & Co. are putting enlisted Americans in all the way up to our nation's general security around the world. But we are "preaching to the choir". Back to Jeremy Faust's substack, the horrific impact on healthcare institutions and the people they serve is serious. Worse, is this Administration's rewriting of history...in this case scientific history. And so my point is we need to distinguish between the long history of these institutions and what Trump CDC is. Because the negative impact of Trump & Co. will not simply go away if we finally get rid of Trump in the White House. Memories can be short and history and responsibility will be important factors when evaluation is done on how we got to this insanity.

Thank you for an excellent report on this week's AICP meeting. Your analysis is extremely pertinent and valuable. However I would suggest that with these specific analyses and the resultant policies, while needed and very important, we are missing an important context which will help inform the fight back. At the detailed level MAHA is filling a known (and legally mandated) process and bureaucracy with invalid information. But at a more important level it is a major attack on science and medicine as a culture and an institution. This has happened before: President Mbeki of South Africa denied that the HIV virus caused AIDS resulting in the preventable deaths of over 300,000 South Africans. Lysenko's politically correct genetic theories were promoted by Stalin, setting Soviet bio-science back decades. Like Galileo, we are not experiencing a policy dispute --- we are in the midst of an INQUISITION. The anarchy of Trump and the church of MAHA are clearly on a path to destroy our great national resource - the Temple of Science.
The idea that a high-enough antibody level after one dose of the vaccine might negate the need for subsequent doses is a nice idea, but has not been verified as a safe and effective strategy...fools errand!
Any titre prior to the completion of the established series provides no actionable info!
If post 4-6 wk's upon completing the series an inadequate response, the series is repeated & a subsequent titre post 4-6 wk's. Should this not produce the required minimum titre the individual would be deemed a non-responder.
What is the impact on accessing the Hep B vaccine? Will newborns be unable to receive the vaccine? Will insurance and federal programs no longer cover it?
