Posting clever niche poems online for Valentine’s Day became “a thing” sometime last decade. Social media—old Twitter in particular—provided a great platform for sharing top-shelf geeky medical and health policy humor. This is right in my wheelhouse. “Dad jokes” are de rigueur.
In fact, last year, I wrote fun piece here in Inside Medicine in which I shared the results of a collaboration I did with OpenAI to create some Healthcare Valentine’s Day poems. Some of them really hold up!
But the other day, the “Your memories on Facebook” feature showed me a post of mine from 2017 that gave me pause. What I posted indeed had (and has) a certain truth to it.
