Happy New Year, everyone.
I just wanted to share that Inside Medicine now has over 50,000 email subscribers. What a milestone! So, I wish to start my 2025 by simply thanking you for being here. It means so much to me that you seek this kind of content and trust me to be in your inbox.
Your partnership will be key in the times ahead.
We all know that the coming years will be challenging for public health and medicine. What gives me hope is that there are so many people who care about the data-driven, level-headed analysis that I try to provide here. My strength to do this work comes from the inspiration of my ER patients, your support (including your fantastic comments and questions), and my admittedly obsessive commitment to better understanding and explaining complicated issues that affect our health and our collective futures.
What can you do to help?
Well, like I said, just by being here, you’re already making a difference. Beyond that, if you’re looking for ways to help, there are a few things we as a community can do to “work the algorithm”:
Click the “Like” button on the posts. It’s a small thing, but it helps.
Share the posts, either on social media or with your friends, families, colleagues, and random group chats.
Comment on the posts (this requires being a Premium subscriber; If you’re interested and haven’t already, please go ahead and Upgrade!)
Send me your Ideas. What you’re thinking about probably reflects what other bright, curious, engaged potential readers are interested in too.
For 2025, my wish is that we collectively resolve to band together and try to increase the dissemination of reliable, fact-driven public health and medicine content. Thanks again for being on this journey with me. Here we go! 🙌
Your ER Doctor/Friend in the Weeds of the Data,
Jeremy
